Xone:4D is a unique DJ workstation. Xone:3D and Xone:4D Ableton Live MIDI Map. Support for macOS High Sierra is not currently offered for this Allen & Heath. Xone:4D - Clip Scrub Control in Ableton Live. Once assigned, it's not necessary to repeat the mapping for each clip that's loaded as this is a global control.

Since I'm really satisfied with myself after creating a very well functioning map for my glowing new XONE:4D, I want to share that map with the world. The map is basically a quite thorough edit of the standard '4D_T_Pro_ACBD' from A&H.

More areas are covered, nifties have been added and the more obvious blunders (such as internal mixer controls) have been removed in favor of more important things. Despite the many different colors on my chart (which is also based on the standard A&H) it should be pretty logical! Traktor Pro does not have nearly enough modifiers, so I've had to use some of them in a clever way, which I have dubbed 'modifier compression'. This method I will explain in another thread. Additional comments: - The map doesn't have any controls for the master clock - sorry, don't know if this way of mixing is widely used. - Using the faders for Move Mode/Move Size is not optimal, but I ran out of rotary encoders. - Notice that most controls can be reset.

- A nice effect can be exercised using the coarse key-adjust followed by key reset. @ cuelk.com: Yeah, just import the file, it will overwrite your current MIDI map. Your 4D will work according to my 'drawing' right away Actually, I have already made a couple of updates to my own map. I'm updating the files in my original post in a minute, so remember to re-download them! @ tubby: It's probably the best way if you are satisfied with your map and know it by heart (just remember to export your own settings first, or they will be overwritten). But I must warn you, I've put in a lot of extra functionality in my map, that may be bothersome to copy over (like for instance the advanced panel popping up and changing to the move screen whenever move size or move mode are changed, which entails 48 commands to be exact.). Working out the different mappings isn't that difficult, though, if you just sort the list by name.

You may be a bit confused by all the modifiers. But, as I recall, 5 and 6 stores information about the custom loop in/out (second rotaries push), 7 stores the option, I've called 'Sec' which is holding down Scr and Shift together (Shift first) and 8 is for knowing wether *any* modifers are being pressed on either side (for assuring the correct function of jog wheel and multipurpose rotary and such). Bsb Charts Canadian. A utility for automatically generating an overlay would be a dream, but I can tell you, it's not easy finding room on that thing! I find it becomes easier, though, if you use Illustrator CS4 (and also remember to lock the background layer!). Okay, I can no longer edit my initial post, so here are the updated overlays.

Several advanced functions have been added, together with some nice supporting features I think maybe I won't use the faders for selecting move mode/size in the future (I have now added Alt + top rotaries) - but what other perfect purpose exists for them? I'm not sure if that wouldn't just be a nuisance when one is more often using the loop move feature and need to be able to see that setting.

I may add the possibility of changing between the advanced panel screens in some way. I can't answer private messages due to my post count not having reached 20. You can PM me your email, though, and I will answer. What a silly rule. Sorry about the Adv/Chained toggle - I switched functionality between the first and the second row of knobs (params are used more, so now at the bottom row), but forgot to change that one. Don't know what you mean by 'wonky filters', I haven't mapped the internal filters to my XONE, because it already has analogue filters.

If F#6 note-on isn't sent when turning the very first rotary encoder clockwise on your XONE, it's probably because you haven't set it to Traktor mode (as opposed to Ableton mode). Look in your manuel for a quick guide on how to change this (basically you need to switch on the 4D while holding down the left multi-purpose encoder and then push some buttons.). Having the 4D in Ableton mode will very likely give you all kinds of trouble with my mappings I've attached the corrected map. I am experimenting a bit with using SHIFT-mode on the 4D* for different things (either administrative functions such as master clock/cue editing or creative functions such as hotcues/effects - haven't decided yet), so I've disabled toggling browsing mode with the left encoder. Cheers * holding down the left encoder for more than 0.5 seconds, whereafter all controls send on channel 15. Dalgard, thank you so much for sharing your TSI and taking the time for the descriptions and overlays.
