Decided to purchase ' Western Europe map' for Go300 about 2 days ago and could not figure out how to get it onto a new 2GB SD card, despite all the help-pages. It took 3 hours, a sleepless night and a tremendous amount of frustration. First confusion: my Model GO 300. Dave Matthews Band Away From The World Rar.
It didn't appear anywhere. Only x30 / x40, etc. So after trying to figure out what x30 is (no mentioning anywhere-must be the insider descript). Seems that it actually does mean the GO 300 = x30 (stupid, why not say 300 same amount of caracters). Next confusion with trying to follow instruction with new card. You have to download TomTom Home, which i had done. Problem now: TT-HOME would only regognise the device with the original 128MB card.
I managed to back up the card through tomtomhome as suggested, but as soon as I took the card out of the device TT-HOME could not find device, nor the the newly inserted card. I browsed back and forth through all pages to find a solution. Nothing that made sense.
TomTom GO 300 last downloaded: 20.1.2018 - 2018 version. Download Rating: 86%. Driver software: TomTom GO 300 - free driver download, Device drivers: TomTom. Ich habe einen TomTom GO 300. Ich wollte bei meinem TomTom Go 720 mal wieder die Karten aktualisieren. Kann man Tomtom navi Karten kostenlos.
Even more frustrated -weekend- and no one to answer the phone. I send an email demanding my money back. Today anaother look at the forum (after I had decided I did not want to spend any more time ) and someone mentioned not to use TT-Home for restoring back-up but use explorer. So I gave it another try-the last chance to work-and it did. In the end it was very easy, if only the description had been more accurate in the first place. Instead of giving confusing and even conlicting information.
It would have saved me 2 1/2 hours, headache and frustration. So this is how it worked for me: • Download (use) TomTom Home• Connect device to computer with original card• Back up device/memory through TT-Home - the back up is being stored on computer! (MS Window 7, under my 'My Documents' continue to open folders >TomTom >HOME >Backup >Go >backup01 >Internal Memory - has all the necessary files)• Put the new 2GB memory SD-card in card reader / slot of PC• Copy the back up from PC (Explorer/My Documents / Internal memory) onto the new SD-card.• Insert the new SD card into TT device.• Now TT-Home is reading the device and the download/update is possible.(hope battery charge holds during 1:20 hrs of download time)Hope this will be of help to safe frustration and time!
