A Q+A With Inara And Greg May 16th, 2012 Recently, TB&TB Merch Gal Nikki solicited fans to send questions to Greg and Inara through the. Here is the result. Thanks to everyone for submitting questions! For those who missed out, follow us on Facebook for the next Q & A opportunity.
If you could be the opening act for anyone, who would it be? Inara: Prince Greg: Kate Bush Who would be the ultimate opening act for you? Inara: My nephews have a band.
I think it would be fun for them to open up for us one day. Greg: I'd like to form another band with Inara and perform in disquise. It's hard to pick opening bands because I want to open for everybody. What talent do you wish you had? Inara: I wish I could play piano like Greg. Greg: I wish I was fluent in many languages What is the first concert/musical performance you attended? Inara: I grew up going to concerts because of my dad.
So my first concerts were very early. The first concert that I wanted to go to was to see Prince at the (Los Angeles) Forum for the 'Purple Rain' tour. Greg: Some early shows I remember are the Clash and also Tom Petty If you want to share: Who will you interpret on the next volume of 'Interpreting the Masters'?
Inara: We like to keep it secret, in case we want to change our minds. Are we keeping it a secret? I think so If you could be any one person for a day, who would it be? Inara: My 2 year old. I'd like to know what's going in his head.
Greg: When I first heard Aphex Twin I wanted to be his assistant engineer so I could see how he works. Alexisonfire Full Discography Torrent Evermotion Archmodels Vol 42 here. here. The greatest lesson you ever learned from your parents? Inara: Generosity. Greg: family comes first The greatest lesson you ever learned from a child?
Inara: You can have fun wherever you are. Greg: most problems I have are probably insignificant. What is something about you that nobody would guess? Inara: I can't sleep in. And I never have been able to. Greg: I used to do a Brazilian Martial Art/ Dance called Capoeira. Which is your favorite video you've made and why?
Inara: I really do like them all, but I think I would have to go with our 'Polite Dance Song' video. Not only do I love the video, but I love that we (Greg and I) are not the main event. Greg: Again and Again and Polite Dance Song might be my favs. I like them all though.
What is the craziest tour story you have to share? Inara: There are a lot. Some crazy-fun and crazy-hard. I don't know if I have one that I'd want to share, but I think everyone on tour experiences both.
Being on tour is a strange existence. Greg: Our tour manager Chris and myself rushing up the stairwell to get our bags when our hotel catches on fire. Not a very smart thing to do. What are some of the things you do to keep from going into or breaking out of artist/writer's block?
Inara: I don't do much. But if I have writer's block, I think I just try to muscle through it. I always think the worst that could happen would be to write a bad song, which nobody has to hear.
